Throughout 2010, Aaron and Joanna searched for members to start a Pagan / Black Metal band. After a short time, they found Carlos (drummer), who in turn joined the band.
After finding a place to practice, they met Markel, but after a short while, he left the band. A year later, Marc entered as second guitarrist.
A few months later, the band still unnamed, they found Aleksei (guitarrist from an earlier similar-style project, Niffelheim); and after talking to him and showing him what they were doing; they convinced him to join the group as vocalist.
At this point the band decided on a name - JORMUNGAND. A few months later, Marc left the group; and Aleksei took up the second-guitarrist duties.
In 2013, after a few concerts; Carlos decided to leave the band, but nonetheless; Jormungand carries on, playing concerts and composing (albeit without a drummer, for the time being).
In June 2014, Joanna left the band for personal reasons. JORMUNGAND continues being a two-man show.

Durante el año 2010, Aaron y Joanna buscaban miembros para crear un grupo de Pagan / Black Metal, al poco tiempo encontraron un anuncio de Carlos (batería), que después paso a ser el batería del grupo.
Al poco de entrar a un local, encontraron un guitarrista Markel, pero después de unos meses abandona la banda.
Como un año después entro a formar parte del grupo otro guitarrista Marc.
A los pocos meses, el grupo aun sin nombre, se encontró con Aleksei (guitarrista del anterior proyecto Niffelheim) y al rato de charlar con él y enseñarle algunos temas, le convencen para que venga a formar parte del grupo como cantante.
Ahí el grupo completo le da nombre – JORMUNGAND. Unos meses después, Marc abandona la banda, y Aleksei pasa a ser el cantante - guitarrista en el grupo.
En 2013 después de unos meses, Carlos decide abandonar la banda, pero Jormungand sigue adelante, tocando conciertos y componiendo.
En Junio 2014, Joanna deja el grupo por razones personales. JORMUNGAND sigue siendo adelante siendo Aaron y Aleksei.
