Biografía
PHTHISIS se forma en 1989, aunque realmente no empiezan a funcionar hasta principios de 1991, haciendo algunos bolos junto a bandas como Surgery, Burial, Bad Taste, Crusher, S.P.D.T, Psychophony, Necrophiliac, Perpetual, Desecrate, Kreator, etc.
La Demo-Ensayo “Ashes to Ashes” fue su carta de presentación y fue grabada en 1992. Sin embargo, jamás fue editada de manera oficial.
Ya en julio de 1993, PHTHISIS entran en Iguana Studios (Bilbao) para grabar su Demo-tape debut bajo el título “From Memorial Past”. Tristemente, la banda desaparece definitivamente poco después, a principios del ’94.
Andoni Prieto (voz) fallece en febrero de 2008 y el resto de miembros originales reedita el material en formato CD en febrero de 2010 a modo de tributo y remasterizado por César Rodríguez en TNT Studios.
En 2009 la banda se reúne para ofrecer un último concierto (“Ceremony of Immortal Souls”) en memoria de Andoni y Cristian (Bad Taste).

“Ashes to Ashes” Rehearsal-Demo was their first effort and it was recorded in 1992. However, it was never officially released.
Later in July 1993, PHTHISIS entered the Iguana Studios (Bilbao) to record their debut Demo-tape entitled “From Memorial Past”. The band was sadly put to rest soon after that, in early ’94.
Andoni Prieto (vocals) passed away in February 2008 and the rest of former members re-issued this stuff on CD format in February 2010 as a tribute, remastered by César Rodríguez at TNT Studios.
The band was reunited in 2009 to play a last show (“Ceremony of Immortal Souls”) in memory of Andoni and Cristian (Bad Taste).
